The manufacturing of outdoor hunting clothing is not a high-tech industry, but it involves many detailed manufacturing processes and functional tests. All aspects of production must be coordinated with each other to ensure quality requirements and time control. In this article, we will discuss the manufacturing outdoor hunting clothing process in detail by taking as an example of how to produce camouflage waterproof quilted hunting jackets.

For the preparation of the pre-production sample order, please refer to our other article named as 6 Steps to place a sample order for hunting clothes. After the customer confirms the pre-production samples, we can arrange mass production.

There are about 10 steps for the production of outdoor hunting clothing bulk orders as followed.

  1. Material Preparation

According to the fabric quality and color (including camo pattern) determined by the customer, BOWINS Garment purchases the same quality fabric and trims for outdoor hunting clothing. Due to the different quantity of fabric and trims, the delivery time is also different. Under normal circumstances, the purchase of all materials before bulk packaging can be completed in one month. Special materials need to be verified according to specific conditions.

  1. Schedule Production

BOWINS Garment has a dedicated production control department who is responsible for scheduling production orders and coordinating the arrangements. According to the known and scheduled arrival time, our production control department will make a production plan, adjust the production process, and prepare for the machine before the arrival of the material.

  1. Material Arrival, MaterialChecking, Material Inspection and Pre-production Meeting Holding

According to the time agreed with the fabric and trims factory, our purchasing department will supervise the  the goods to deliver and arrive to our factory on time. After receiving the materials for hunting clothing, our company’s QC department trims and fabric quality inspector will conduct basic inspection according to the customer’s requirements for the fabric and trims.

Quantity: Fully Counted

Color: Through a professional machine, under a consensus light (usually D65 light source), do color comparison.

Quality: Sampling of the fabric through professional machines to inspect the fabric’s waterproof function, water repellent effect, weight and tear resistance level.

Note: Different fabrics have different functions, and the testing machines and methods are also different.

Before the outdoor hunting clothing mass production is put into production, our company will hold pre-production meeting, convene the QC person in charge, the person in charge of the factory, the pattern maker and the sample worker should join the meeting. During the pre-production meeting, the sample clothing artwork, materials, process problems and special attention should be paid In order to deepen the factory’s understanding of bulk production styles, it is convenient to pay attention to later sewing.

  1. Quilting and Cutting

After the qualified result of the fabric inspection is confirmed, the materials that need to be quilted will be transported to the quilting workshop for centralized quilting of the insulated hunting clothing. At the same time, materials that do not need to be quilted are shipped to the cutting workshop. Measure the available width of the fabric and typeset the pieces. Due to the directional nature of camouflage patterns, the fabric has an inevitable and certain percentage of loss. BOWINS Garment can reduce a small part of the loss correspondingly through the automatic spreading machine and automatic cutting machine.

  1. Printing and Embroidery

After the cutting is completed, the pieces that need printing or embroidery are transported to the printing and embroidery workshop. According to the different printing and embroidery techniques, all the printing and embroidery needs to be copied according to the printed and embroidery samples confirmed by the customer. During this process, our QC department has a special printing and embroidery controller, and will check and compare the large-scale printing and embroidery with the confirmed outdoor hunting clothing sample again, and communicate and solve the problem in time. Avoid finding problems after going to the factory to sew.

  1. Sewing

After finishing the printing and embroidery, our company arranges sewing and stitching according to the pre-production samples confirmed by the customer.

For waterproof hunting jackets, when the stitching is half completed, it needs to be laminated with a laminating machine. After completion, our local factory QC will conduct semi-finished product inspections such as sample washing and water pressure testing to ensure the waterproof integrity of the garment. It will also check the details of the semi-finished products, control the quality in the process, reduce the pressure of the final inspection, and find and solve problems in advance. After the taping is completed, the pieces are stitched again. According to a certain sequence, complete the production of the entire garment.

  1. Finishing and Finished Product Inspection

After the outdoor hunting clothing are finished, the products are transferred to the ironing workshop. According to different types of fabrics, adjust the appropriate temperature, ironing and trimming the clothes. After ironing, run the water to hang in the drying workshop for a certain period of time to make the whole clothes dry and look more beautiful.

In the final process, finished product inspections are carried out. All inspections are completed according to line checking. The factory conducts the first round of inspections in accordance with the standards, and the unqualified products are returned for repair. During the process, QC supervision and inspections will promptly guide corrections and conduct random inspections. Then the second picking and bagging of qualified products are carried out.

  1. Packaging

After the first piece of clothing is completed, the packaging materials are purchased according to the customer’s requirements for the packaging method of the clothing. Within 7-10 days, you can receive complete packaging materials. After all the goods are produced, complete the packaging of all goods within 1-2 days. Including hanging tags, sticking stickers, bagging and packing. The packaging can be polybag, hanging, color boxed and rolled paper packaging according to customer requirements.

  1. Inspection

After the goods are completed, the customer can arrange QC to inspect the goods in our factory. If there is no designated inspector, BOWINS Garment will arrange QC to carry out final inspection of bulk goods according to AQL2.5 inspection standards. Our QC department manager, once worked as the QC manager of a German clothing brand, has many years of experience in export inspection.

  1. Booking and Shipping

After all goods are passed the inspection, we will negotiate the booking and arrange related shipping matters for the outdoor hunting clothing order.
